The No. 1 Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners face off in their annual Red River Rivalry on October 10th, 2026 at 3:30 PM ET on ABC, set to take place at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. As of September 26th, 2026, Texas enters the match undefeated at 4-0 and aims to maintain its No. 1 ranking while strengthening its College Football Playoff résumé.

Quarterback Arch Manning spearheads the Texas offense, and defensive star Colin Simmons is a key player for the Texas defense, which has been among the best in college football. Texas aims to secure its third consecutive win over Oklahoma, following a 23-6 victory last season.

Oklahoma begins the rivalry with a 2-2 record after losses to Michigan and Georgia. The Sooners' offensive struggles were evident in their recent 41-13 defeat against Georgia, where they committed four turnovers. Quarterback John Mateer must deliver a strong performance to overcome Texas' defensive prowess and secure an upset victory.

Although Texas is favored to win, the Red River Rivalry has a reputation for producing unexpected outcomes, giving the Sooners a chance to rebound from their season struggles with a decisive win.
