Indore MPs Push BSNL To Fast-Track 4G Tower Installation, BharatNet Connectivity In Rural Villages

The Indore Business Area of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has pledged to bolster its 4G tower network and the BharatNet project to enhance telecom services in rural villages. This matter was deliberated at a Telecom Advisory Committee meeting held at Meghdoot Park Telephone Exchange. The meeting saw participation from MPs Shankar Lalwani and Gyaneshwar Patil, representing Khandwa, alongside committee members from Indore, Khargone, Khandwa, and Jhabua, as well as senior BSNL officials.

During the discussion, senior general manager Pankaj Upadhyay presented insights into BSNL's telecom schemes, services, and ongoing development initiatives. The conversations centered around augmenting 4G services, the advancement of BharatNet, and fortifying digital connectivity in rural and remote regions. Lalwani examined the deployment of BSNL's 4G mobile towers in the Indore area and instructed officials to swiftly integrate pending gram panchayats in Depalpur into the BharatNet framework. This would enable rural residents to gain access to superior internet and digital services.

Patil from Khandwa emphasized the urgency of expediting BharatNet connectivity to gram panchayats in his constituency, highlighting that reliable telecommunications services in rural and remote areas are crucial in enabling ordinary citizens to fully capitalize on digital services. Manish Raizada, BSNL assistant general manager, facilitated the proceedings.
