India News Live Updates, 10 October 2026: Rahul Gandhi to meet Tamil Nadu CM Vijay, address students in Chennai
On Saturday, Rahul Gandhi will meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay in Chennai, followed by an address to students at the 'Chhatron Ki Goonj' event, according to the Congress. The visit unfolds amid the Opposition's ongoing campaign against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, highlighting allegations of irregularities in voter rolls and calling for a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on Saturday.
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has organized the demonstration, which could potentially lead to "serious law and order issues" as per Delhi Police.
