On Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Misfits Boxing 30 LIVE on DAZN PPV, Alex Pereira's coach, Plinio Cruz, delivered a dominant TKO in his return to fighting, stopping Chase DeMoor's coach, Gary Olive, in the second round. Cruz, who has a professional MMA record of 8-9, had never previously competed in a boxing match. He was originally scheduled to face DeMoor himself, but the influencer withdrew less than a week prior.
DeMoor's coach, Olive, stepped in to challenge Cruz in an unexpected turn of events. Despite DeMoor's team hopes, Cruz dominated in his first return to the ring and secured a victory. At 40 years old, Cruz, a Brazilian heavyweight, showcased his skills and experience, finishing Olive within two rounds. The Brazilian fighter's return to the octagon proves that he hasn't forgotten his roots, even as he helps Pereira become one of the most iconic fighters on the UFC roster.
