'Have dacoits from Chambal gathered in Delhi': CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke's father amid police crackdown
Police launched a sweeping crackdown in the national capital, detaining Abhijeet Dipke and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke's father, Bhagwan Dipke, has accused the government of not respecting democracy following the detention of his son and nearly 500 protesters in Delhi. The police launched a large-scale operation, detaining Abhijeet Dipke, YouTube personality Dhruv Rathee, and other demonstrators who sought to reach Jantar Mantar.
Bhagwan Dipke questioned the excessive deployment of police force, asking if dacoits from Chambal had gathered in Delhi. He emphasized that the protesters have a legal right to protest and that the government should not interfere with their democratic rights. His wife, Anita Dipke, also criticized the crackdown, stating that the government arrested the protesters without necessity.
Police used drones to monitor the protesters' movement across New Delhi, thwarting their attempt to gather at Jantar Mantar for the CJP stir against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
