Hall of Fame WR Has Strong Message for Marvin Harrison Jr. Amid Trade Buzz
The former NFL WR has some powerful words for the young Cardinal. “I tell him you are responsible for your development.”
In a trade development that has the NFL wire buzzing, the Arizona Cardinals are in the final stages of moving wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans, where he would reunite with his college teammate C.J. Stroud. Former Minnesota Vikings and OSU alumnus Cris Carter has delivered a potent message to Harrison regarding his mindset in light of the potential move.
Carter spoke with Inside Football about the challenges Harrison may face and the importance of self-talk in overcoming them. "You have as much talent as anyone playing the position and you've proven that, you just have to continually prove it over and over again," Carter emphasized. "I tell him you are responsible for your development.
You are personally responsible to make sure that you get better." Harrison will be sidelined for Sunday's game against the Detroit Lions.
