Dangote Refinery increases diesel price days after reduction

Dangote Refinery has raised the price of its diesel, also known as gantry Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), following a recent reduction. According to a market survey conducted by DAILY POST, the refinery increased the diesel price to N1,800 per litre, up from N1,700. This results in a N100 increase per litre.

Despite this price hike, Dangote Refinery's diesel remains N105 cheaper than depot owners such as Pivot, African Terminal, Integrated, and others, which are selling it at N1,905 per litre at the time of reporting. The latest price adjustment may further drive retail prices above the current range of N1,960 to N1,980 per litre in Abuja and surrounding areas.

Three days prior, Dangote Refinery had decreased its diesel price by N80 per litre, lowering it from N1,780 to N1,700. The current Brent crude oil price is $104 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is at $91.
