Cyberpunk 2077 to Get Live Action Film by Transformers’ Producer

Paramount Pictures is reportedly creating a live-action movie based on Cyberpunk 2077, though CD Projekt RED has not yet officially backed the initiative. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, a veteran producer behind numerous blockbuster franchises such as Transformers, G.I. Joe, and The Meg, is set to produce the film alongside Paramount. Di Bonaventura is also linked to the ongoing Constantine 2 project.

While casting details remain undisclosed, Di Bonaventura's past collaborations with Keanu Reeves might suggest a return for the actor as Johnny Silverhand, a prominent character in Cyberpunk 2077. However, Reeves' involvement is contingent on the film's direction and Reeves' availability. At present, the film's director, writer, cast, production timeline, and release date remain unknown, with the project still in its nascent stages.

Cyberpunk 2077 has proven to be a commercial triumph for CD Projekt RED, selling over 40 million copies, and the game's sequel is currently in pre-production, slated for release around 2030 or later.
