Away from home, São Paulo's under-20 team kicks off the Paulista Championship round of 16 on Sunday (11). The Tricolor will host Desportivo Brasil at 10 a.m. at Estádio Ernesto Rocco in Porto Feliz, São Paulo. The broadcast will be available live on Ulisses TV’s YouTube channel. Under the guidance of Júlio Baptista, the under-20s had a stellar run in the first stage of the state championship, securing second place in Group 2 with 33 points.
They won 10 matches, drew 3, and lost only 1, scoring 23 goals while conceding just 4. In the previous round, the Tricolor faced EC São Bernardo in a two-legged tie. They drew 0-0 in the first leg, but won 2-0 in the return leg, thanks to goals from Renan and Guilherme Reis, earning their spot in the round of 16. This will be the second encounter between the teams in this championship edition.
They previously met in the first stage, with São Paulo emerging victorious 1-0, thanks to a goal from Angelo.
