ALDS Game 5 thread: Cleveland Guardians vs. Chicago White Sox
Who will advance to battle the Rays for the pennant? Find out tonight in THE CLEVE.
In a thrilling conclusion to the American League Division Series, the Cleveland Guardians emerged victorious over the Chicago White Sox in Game 5, forcing a decisive fifth game. The Guardians, who had lost the first two games at home, staged an impressive comeback to win two crucial matches in Chicago. This victory represents the first Division Series comeback since the 2017 Yankees defeated the Cleveland Guardians.
It is also the third such occurrence in a best-of-five series where the leading team lost the first two games at home, joining the ranks of the 2001 Yankees and 2012 Giants. If the Guardians succeed, it will be their first pennant since 2005. The White Sox, on the other hand, would be playing for their first pennant since 2005. The outcome of this series has sparked excitement among baseball fans, with many hoping for an upset in the American League Championship Series.
