We're hiring: Social Media Video Editor

Seeking an individual passionate about editing and social media to join our fast-paced team as a Social Media Video Editor. This role involves shaping compelling narratives through short and long-form video editing, breathing life into videos and captivating audiences across various formats.

The Social Media Video Editor will be responsible for editing, assembling, and refining video, audio, and digital media assets to create engaging content for different platforms. Collaboration with journalists and social media team members is essential to deliver polished final products that adhere to creative and technical standards.

Proficiency in applying advanced video engineering techniques is required to ensure top-notch visual and audio output. Incorporating visual effects, animations, and graphics to enhance storytelling and educational goals is also part of the job. Staying up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and techniques in digital media and creative editing is crucial.

Effective communication with company staff, customers, and stakeholders is a daily requirement. Identifying user needs, evaluating available technologies, and recommending suitable solutions will be handled by the candidate. The position demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Routine issues can be addressed within approved procedures, relying on personal experience and gained expertise. The individual will primarily work within established company protocols.

The Social Media Video Editor will have the authority to plan and prioritize work within agreed work-frames and timelines. Day-to-day decisions will be made with minimal supervision, with final work reviewed by the Editor. Minimum 5 years of experience in editing both long-form and short-form videos is necessary. Familiarity with Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, Instagram edits, and AI tools is essential. Meeting deadlines, identifying delays, and swiftly resolving issues is a must-have quality.

The candidate should be well-informed about new technologies and digital platforms, understanding how they can be adapted as storytelling tools.
