Tinubu Felicitates Gombe Gov, Inuwa Yahaya, At 65

President Bola Tinubu congratulated Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Governor of Gombe State and Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, on reaching a significant milestone of 65 years on October 9, 2026. In a statement released by his Chief of Staff, Bayo Onanuga, the President praised Governor Yahaya for his exceptional leadership, visionary approach, and unwavering dedication to the development of Gombe State since he took office in 2019.

The President highlighted the Governor's remarkable achievements in infrastructure, including the construction of over 900 kilometers of roads throughout the state's Local Government Areas. In education, Governor Yahaya has either constructed or renovated hundreds of classrooms and upgraded several secondary schools. His commitment to healthcare is evident through the establishment of fully operational Primary Healthcare Centres in all 114 wards and the impactful Go-Health project aimed at providing essential healthcare services to vulnerable populations.

Tinubu also commended Governor Yahaya for his significant contributions to industrialization, agriculture, and the ease of doing business, through notable projects such as the Muhammadu Buhari Industrial Park and the Agro-Livestock Development Zone. As Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum, Governor Yahaya has demonstrated his ability to promote unity, consensus-building, and regional cooperation on critical issues like security, education, and economic development, thereby bolstering the collective progress of Northern Nigeria.

The President described Governor Yahaya as a pragmatic progressive and a steadfast partner in the Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing that his governance prioritizes the well-being of the people above all else. President Tinubu prayed for Governor Yahaya's continued good health, wisdom, and strength, wishing him many more years of impactful service to the people of Gombe State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
