Shokz launches OpenDots 2 in UAE, bringing open-ear listening to everyday life

Shokz, a global leader in open-ear audio technology, has introduced its latest clip-on earbuds, OpenDots 2, in the UAE market. The flagship model provides high-quality sound, clear calls, and lightweight comfort, allowing users to enjoy their preferred audio while remaining aware of their surroundings. Suitable for various lifestyles, including work, commuting, leisure, and active pursuits, OpenDots 2 represents a shift in open-ear audio technology from a sports and fitness-centric category to a broader personal audio choice.

The launch of OpenDots 2 coincides with the rapid growth of the global open-ear headphone market, which now accounts for more than 10 percent of the global personal-audio market share. By 2025, annual shipments are expected to exceed 30 million units, as reported by an Omdia analysis. OpenDots 2 features Shokz Bassphere™ 2.0, equipped with two custom drivers in a spherical acoustic system, delivering superior sound performance. Its redesigned diaphragm minimizes sound distortion, enhancing bass and overall audio quality. The buds also incorporate upgraded Dolby Audio, offering richer bass while preserving clear vocals, detail, and a spacious soundstage. Additionally, DirectPitch™ technology directs sound towards the listener's ear, minimizing audio leakage.

Each earbud includes a triple-microphone system with two air-conduction microphones and one bone-conduction microphone, enhanced by adaptive beamforming and AI noise reduction for improved call quality. The flexible JointArc™ design balances comfort and stability, adapting to various ear shapes. OpenDots 2 offers up to 10 hours of listening on a single charge and 40 hours of total listening time with the provided charging case.

A five-minute quick charge delivers up to two hours of playback, and the charging case supports Qi-certified wireless charging. The product also boasts an IP57 water-resistance rating, ensuring suitable use during everyday activities.

OpenDots 2 employs Bluetooth 6.1 and MultiPoint Pairing, enabling simultaneous connection to two devices and seamless switching between them. Furthermore, Dynamic Ear Detection allows either earbud to function interchangeably on both ears. Through the Shokz App, users can personalize EQ settings, gesture controls, and MultiPoint connections, and utilize the ‘Find My Earbuds’ feature.
