Resolve MyKhas allocation issue, hold dialogues, PKR told after exodus

Former Malaysian Opposition Party representatives Wong Chen and Lee Chean Chung recently departed from the PKR political party due to their access to the MyKhas constituency allocation system being revoked. However, Rodziah Ismail from Ampang has remained with the party. Analysts are urging PKR to address disputes surrounding parliamentary allocations and engage in dialogue with elected representatives and grassroots leaders following the departure of four MPs from the party this year.

In response, political analyst Tawfik Yaakub highlighted that the MyKhas allocation issue has contributed to tensions among MPs aligned with Rafizi Ramli, who left PKR earlier this year. Tawfik emphasized the need for parliamentary allocations to be determined based on clear procedures and the constituents' interests, rather than being utilized as a means to punish or pressure elected officials.

Analyst Lau Zhe Wei agreed, arguing that PKR's restrictions on access are inconsistent with the party's historical stance on equal allocations. He suggested that Rodziah's MyKhas access should be reestablished immediately, as she remains a member of PKR. International Islamic University of Malaysia analyst Lau Zhe Wei advocated for PKR to hold meaningful dialogue between its central leadership, elected representatives, and grassroots leaders.

He also proposed that the party consider providing a peace plan or amnesty to elected representatives and grassroots leaders who support Rafizi, in an attempt to address the root causes of internal tensions within the party.
