Petr Yan Gives Alexander Volkanovski the Edge in UFC 333 Showdown With Movsar Evloev

In the upcoming UFC 333 event, Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev will battle for the featherweight title in Abu Dhabi. Prior to the main event, another significant matchup will take place between Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili for the bantamweight championship. Volkanovski is defending his title for the second time after reclaiming it from Diego Lopes. Meanwhile, Evloev earns his first UFC title shot after defeating Lerone Murphy. The Russian boasts an impressive record with 10 wins and a perfect 20-0 record.

However, Yan believes that Volkanovski's defensive wrestling could be the deciding factor in their fight. He stated, "If Volkanovski is in good shape, good condition, then it might be a tough one for Movsar." Yan also highlighted Volkanovski's striking and defensive wrestling as key advantages, citing his performance against Islam Makhachev at UFC 284 as an example of his ability to control opponents on the ground.

Despite the close relationship between Yan and Evloev, Yan still gives Volkanovski a slight edge in their matchup, stating that "Movsar will need to either submit him or knock him out." Yan further noted that Volkanovski's experience and defensive wrestling could make the fight difficult for Evloev.
