Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries in Ondo Megaregion 1 awarded scholarships to 20 needy students and presented sewing machines and grinding machines to 10 women and widows respectively, according to a statement to PUNCH Online. The church's aim is self-reliance, improved livelihoods and access to quality education for its members and community.
The fashion designing program was designed to equip women with practical skills to establish their own businesses. Similarly, grinding machines were provided to widows to strengthen their businesses. The scholarships were awarded to indigent pupils to ease the burden of educational expenses. Pastor Ademola Adeniyi, the Mega Regional Overseer of MFM Ondo Megaregion 1, said the initiatives reflect General Overseer Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya's vision to empower people and promote financial independence.
