Manchester City's head coach, Enzo Maresca, has urged his players to maintain a positive and focused mindset as they return to Premier League action following a recent controversy. The club was found guilty of the majority of 115 charges brought against it by the Premier League, involving the use of sham contracts to disguise secret funding of over £830m.
Despite the negative publicity, Maresca emphasized that his players are "excited" for the upcoming weekend's matches against Liverpool and are "not worried at all" about external issues. City's international players returned to training nine days after the Premier League released its report, and Maresca stressed that the squad trusts the club completely and is focused on winning football games and enjoying the moment.
