Texas volleyball enters this weekend's SEC match against Arkansas with two victories last weekend, but also drew criticism from head coach Jerritt Elliott following a sloppy 3-1 win over Alabama. The Longhorns (7-5, 3-1) head to Arkansas on Friday, where Elliott has expressed the need for his team to improve if they aim to achieve a third consecutive win for the first time this season.
The No. 9-ranked Longhorns may be without injured starting middle blocker Nya Bunton, who is dealing with a sore knee. However, freshman outside hitter Henley Anderson could provide a boost to the team. Anderson, who hit .427 in the previous two matches and recorded 25 kills, will join experienced attackers Torrey Stafford and Cari Spears on the court.
Arkansas (8-6, 0-3) will rely heavily on outside hitter Parker Duncan, a sophomore who delivered 20 kills against South Carolina and has double-digit kills in nine matches. Fans can follow live scores and updates throughout the game, which will be broadcast on Friday at 7 p.m. at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
