Jaguars vs. Eagles: Staff roundtable and game picks for Week 5

Welcome to Big Cat Country's staff roundtable! Today, we're previewing the Week 5 matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles. Here are some key points:

1. Jaguars' defense needs improvement in crucial moments. Dillon Appleman is concerned that the defense hasn't consistently made key stops in clutch situations against strong offenses.

2. Can Jacksonville handle the pressure of expectations? Despite being labeled as a potential Super Bowl contender, the Jaguars have shown inconsistency in recent games. Gus Logue questions whether the team can stay focused despite the media hype.

3. Jacksonville's passing game could be better in deep passing situations. Trevor Lawrence has thrown mostly intermediate passes, with fewer deep throws. Henry Zimmer suggests the offensive line needs to step up and protect Lawrence for the Jaguars to succeed.

4. Turnovers will be crucial for a Jaguars victory. Dillon Appleman believes winning the turnover battle will be the key to beating the Eagles. Travis Holmes agrees, emphasizing that not forcing anything and executing cleanly will be vital.

5. Jalen Carter's pass rush will be a crucial matchup. Dillon Appleman highlights the importance of Jalen Carter, Hainsey, and Cleveland in disrupting the Eagles' offensive rhythm. Gus Logue predicts that Jacksonville needs to make a few explosive plays on offense.

6. Bhayshul Tuten is a key player for the Jaguars. Dillon Appleman points out Tuten's exceptional success rate and missed tackles forced, which could be a significant factor in the game.
