International break criticism of Mbappe ‘ridiculous’ — Mourinho

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho dismissed criticism of Kylian Mbappe's activities during the international break as "ridiculous". Mbappe missed out on France duty after suffering an injury against Turkey but faced scrutiny for sharing photos of himself attending a Paris Fashion Week event and cycling. Mourinho defended the French captain, stating that Real Madrid players had completed their duties during the break and that the team could not overlook any issues.

He added that players who fail to meet club standards would face consequences, including being barred from the bench. Mourinho emphasized that Mbappe's participation in the next match would demonstrate that he had met his responsibilities. The Real Madrid manager also dismissed suggestions that the coverage surrounding Mbappe was excessive, labeling it as "ridiculous".
