The German Bundestag has recognized Germany’s special historical responsibility to Ukraine for the crimes of National Socialism, adopting two motions ahead of the 85th anniversary of the Babyn Yar massacre: one submitted by the governing CDU/CSU and SPD parties, and the other by the opposition Greens.
