Dungeons & Dragons Is Going to Outer Space With Star Wars: Tyro Squadron, First Look at Official Art
Dungeons & Dragons: World of Warcraft isn't even out yet, but Wizards of the Coast has already announced its next Universes Beyond release for the TTRPG – and it's Star Wars.
Dungeons & Dragons is branching out to outer space with Star Wars: Tyro Squadron, the first official look at the new adventure module. Wizards of the Coast (WotC) announced that Star Wars was coming to D&D in July, but revealed more details at NYCC 2026. The new Core Rules expansion for the Galaxy Far, Far Away will be as expansive as the recent World of Warcraft expansion, introducing fresh story hooks and new ways to play classic D&D classes.
Information about the Tyro Squadron adventure module indicates that players will join a secret Rebel crew and take on missions during the Original Trilogy, focusing on the underbelly of the Star Wars universe rather than the more heroic stories of Luke and Leia. This new partnership between D&D and Star Wars has piqued interest, but there's still significant uncertainty about the specifics of the expansion. WotC plans to share additional information at Star Wars Celebration in April 2027.
