Cardi B – “Don’t Chart”
It feels really, really good to hear Cardi B talk her shit. Over the past decade or so, the New York rap star has not really altered her method of shit-talk, and it's pretty far from the current current mainstream, whether we're talking about rap or pop. Maybe her shit-talk doesn't hit quite the same as it did on " Bodak Yellow " once upon a time, but it still scratches some deep mental itch.…
Cardi B's latest track, "Don't Chart," has made its debut as part of Grand Theft Auto VI's soundtrack. The rapper's newest release, released with longtime collaborators Vinylz and Pardison Fontaine, follows her 2021 sophomore album, Am I The Drama? The song features a bright, minimal beat and sees Cardi B flexing her lyrical prowess, boasting about her own experiences and challenging the status quo.
She even goes so far as to assert that her song will indeed chart, despite her initial declaration that it won't. The album, set to drop alongside GTA VI on November 19, also includes a track titled "Suzuki," by Fuerza Regida, bringing a reggaeton flavor to the game's soundtrack.
