4 Google apps I replace on every new Android phone, and every replacement is free
A new Android phone gets four immediate replacements, and they don't cost me anything.
A writer for XDA Developers discussed replacing Google apps on new Android phones with free alternatives. They have a list of replacements that they install on almost every new phone, which cover frequently used apps. These replacements were chosen to solve specific problems with the default experience and fit better into their Android usage.
The writer emphasized that these replacements are free and serve specific purposes. They did not provide details on the specific replacements used.
There was no direct connection found between the writer's discussion on app replacements and the information provided by 9to5Google regarding Android 17 QPR2 Beta 7 availability for Pixel devices.
