Lucknow, October 8, 2026: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath convened the 8th high-level meeting of 'CM-Samiksha' to evaluate the advancement of development projects, industrial investments, energy initiatives, skill development, labor welfare, and public welfare schemes. Adityanath emphasized that major projects in the state should transcend mere procedures and be executed swiftly on a timeline.
He stressed that officers at all levels must prioritize completing industrial and infrastructure development projects urgently, addressing obstacles related to land acquisition, approvals, tendering, and inter-departmental coordination promptly.
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of expressway projects, noting that four tenders had been awarded for the Chitrakoot Link Expressway, with the tender process set to conclude in October. For other expressways, such as those connecting Farrukhabad, Agra, Lucknow, Purvanchal, Jhansi, and Jewar, significant progress was reported, with 80 to 91 percent of necessary land secured. The Chief Minister directed District Magistrates to expedite remaining land-related work.
Adityanath also examined the Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in Greater Noida, where 301 hectares of the 323 hectares allocated have already been secured. He directed the rapid completion of processes for industrial and logistics projects. The construction of working women’s hostels to boost women's labor force participation was prioritized, with a call for expediting their completion and devising an effective operational policy.
During the Zero Poverty campaign review, Adityanath reported that around 9 lakh eligible families had been identified out of 12.50 lakh families. Under the Chief Minister Housing Scheme, 30,725 houses have been sanctioned. Officials are coordinating to link eligible families with worker registration, Ayushman cards, Antyodaya cards, skill training, and employment.
Adityanath stressed that simply identifying eligible families is insufficient; the government must ensure all eligible families receive the benefits of relevant schemes. He directed mandis to enhance facilities for farmers, ensuring proper cleanliness, preventing waterlogging, and addressing any inconveniences faced by farmers.
Addressing concerns over recent heavy rainfall and its impact on power supply, Adityanath reviewed the restoration of power wherever it had been disrupted. He mandated the activation of a toll-free number for prompt consumer complaint resolution and emphasized conducting feeder-wise audits to combat power theft and line losses, ensuring transparency in the actual situation.
Adityanath also directed a review of fire safety standards in hospitals, medical colleges, and hotels, mandating the renewal of NOCs before they expire and regular monitoring of fire safety measures.
Lastly, the Chief Minister reviewed progress on 279 Public Works Department projects exceeding Rs 50 crore, directing their timely completion according to contract terms. The digital library initiative in Gram Panchayats saw the establishment of libraries in 11,350 Gram Panchayats at a cost of Rs 454 crore, with 100 percent of National Book Trust (NBT) books and 96 percent of furniture delivered.
Reading and learning activities commenced in 99 percent of these libraries. Adityanath directed the expedited supply of remaining hardware and continuous monitoring through a real-time dashboard.
