Trump says he deserves Nobel, doubts he’ll get it

Washington: US President Donald Trump declared on Wednesday that he should be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, though he acknowledged uncertainty surrounding the 2026 decision by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The president, who has been embroiled in various conflicts since taking office in January 2021, expressed doubt about his chances of receiving the prestigious award.

Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, "I don't know what their decision is going to be," adding that the Nobel Committee may not give it to people like him. Since his return to the White House last year, Trump has repeatedly claimed he deserves the Nobel Prize, which is often regarded as the world's most prestigious award.
