Trump Has Never Won a Nobel. Here Are His Other Peace Related Honors
Trump has made no secret of his desire to win the Nobel Peace Prize. But as the prize approaches, he remains a Nobel outsider.
President Donald Trump has never been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, despite often expressing his desire to receive it. In June 2025, he stated that he should have received the award multiple times for his diplomatic efforts in ending conflicts, including in Rwanda, Serbia, Kosovo, India, and Pakistan. However, Trump has still not received the prestigious honor.
The Nobel Prize has eluded Trump, yet he has been honored with several other international awards recognizing his work in peace and diplomacy. These include FIFA's newly created FIFA Peace Prize, Kosovo's highest state honor, and the UAE's highest civilian decoration. Trump became the first recipient of FIFA's Peace Prize in December 2025, following his role in signing a peace agreement between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He also received the Order of Zayed, the UAE's highest civilian honor, during a May 2025 visit to Abu Dhabi.
Additionally, in September 2020, Kosovo's President Hashim Thaçi awarded Trump the Order of Freedom for his contribution to Kosovo's freedom and regional peace, specifically citing the U.S.-brokered economic normalization agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. Trump has also been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize multiple times, most prominently in 2020 for his role in the Abraham Accords, which established diplomatic normalization between Israel and the UAE and Bahrain.
