Presidential contender of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has accused incumbent President Bola Tinubu, as well as Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, of plagiarizing his ideas on fuel subsidy. The claim was made through a post on X following reports of the Federal Government's 30-day petrol discount through the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL.
Sowore alleged that Atiku and Obi had adopted his stance midway through, while Tinubu was said to have arrived at the issue only after the other politicians had already taken his ideas. He remarked, "The cheaters are all smiling after copying Sowore’s answers!" The politician likened the politicians to students copying answers for the same examination, stating they had adopted the same ideas despite varying arrival times.
Sowore further emphasized that copying his ideas wouldn't ensure success, asserting that even an open-book examination wouldn't guarantee their success. He concluded, "The cheaters are all smiling."
