#SHOWBIZ: Law Kar Ying, 80, reveals RM5,200 monthly medical expenses after four cancer battles

Hong Kong singer-actor Law Kar Ying, 80, has revealed that he spends more than HK$10,000 (approximately RM5,207) each month on medical expenses due to his ongoing battles with cancer. In an interview with HK01, the veteran discussed the financial support he provides to his wife, renowned Hong Kong singer-actress Liza Wang. Law elaborated on his expenses, mentioning medical fees, consultation costs, and future planning.

Despite the demanding schedule, Law continues to work to fulfill his responsibilities. However, this has left him with minimal time for rest, as he has not taken a holiday recently. Law's work involves multiple activities, including meetings and advertisements, leaving little scope for rest. The veteran emphasized the importance of three simple habits for maintaining health: getting sufficient sleep, consuming a balanced diet, and maintaining a positive attitude.

Law has faced several serious health challenges, including stage-three liver cancer in 2004, a liver tumor discovered in 2014, prostate cancer in 2019, and a fourth cancer diagnosis last year. With the support of his wife since their marriage in 2009, Law has maintained a positive outlook in the face of adversity.
