Superstar Shah Rukh Khan paid tribute to late actor Nana Patekar on Instagram following his death on October 8. The actor shared a nostalgic photo with Patekar and recounted their first meeting and numerous carrom games. SRK recalled how Patekar corrected him initially, saying, "hero ki tarah Baal mat bana...tu actor hai," rather than flattering him.
He praised Patekar's straightforward nature, honesty, and infectious smile, adding that he struggled to have more conversations, arguments, and tea with his departed friend. He concluded, "I will miss you dearly and carry your words in my heart till the end of time... hero banne ke chakar mein actor mat khona."
