Sebastian Stan Admits He Hasn’t Seen a Final Cut of ‘Avengers: Doomsday,’ But Predicts It’ll Be ‘Heartbreaking’

Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes in the upcoming Marvel film "Avengers: Doomsday," has not yet seen the final cut of the movie. Despite the film's release being just over two months away, Stan admitted to Decider that he hasn't seen the movie and is unsure of its ending. He predicts that the film will be "heartbreaking" and that many characters at stake will face difficult fates.

The cast of "Doomsday" includes notable actors like Chris Hemsworth, Vanessa Kirby, Anthony Mackie, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and others. Stan noted that reuniting with his co-stars for "Doomsday" was nostalgic, and they consider the experience as a "family" that remains close. Stan also explained that the production used an improvisational approach, meaning they didn't have a final script to follow while filming, as they didn't want the cast to read it in its entirety to avoid spoilers.

The Russo Brothers, the film's directors, explained this approach in September, stating they like to see how the actors bring their unique interpretations to the characters, which often leads to the magic of the film. "Avengers: Doomsday" is set to be released on December 18 and will be followed by a sequel, "Avengers: Secret Wars," on December 17, 2027.
