RDA Takes Action Against Famous Housing Scheme

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has taken enforcement action against illegal construction in the Abad Cooperative Housing Scheme. The RDA Enforcement Squad, operating in accordance with orders from Rawalpindi Division Commissioner and RDA Director General Salman Ghani, demolished obstacles and removed structures from the community center.

Shops constructed on green strips without permission were removed, and an under-construction commercial building on a residential plot was sealed. RDA officials emphasized their stance against violations of approved layouts, encroachments on green areas, and unauthorized commercial activities. They directed property owners and developers to adhere to approved plans, building regulations, and other relevant laws to prevent legal consequences.

Ghani ordered a thorough survey to ascertain the appropriate fees for approving illegal buildings, commercialization, supplementary maps, and structural plans. Officials were instructed to take appropriate steps to regularize illegal residential-commercial buildings where applicable laws and regulations permit such action.
