Russian President Vladimir Putin engaged in discussions with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, on Thursday and pledged to do everything possible to assist in ending the conflict in the Middle East. Putin stated, "We are ready to do everything that is in our power to contribute to the settlement of this situation," emphasizing Iran's commitment to resolving the crisis since the US-Israeli attacks commenced on February 28.
The Russian leader also highlighted the positive trajectory of Iran-Russia relations. Pezeshkian, a special guest at a Commonwealth of Independent States summit in Avaza, Turkmenistan, attended the talks alongside Putin. The Iranian leader had previously dismissed negotiations with Washington as futile.
