No politician’s ambition worth your life, LP rep candidate tells youths

Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, Chima Anyaso, has cautioned Nigerian youths against electoral violence in the 2027 general elections. The Igbere-born entrepreneur made this warning during a social contract signing event at Uzuakoli on Wednesday. Anyaso urged the people of Bende not to succumb to intimidation or malpractice that could undermine their freedom.

Addressing stakeholder groups, including traditional rulers, pro-groups, youths, and civil society, Anyaso emphasized that "No election is worth your life. No politician’s ambition is worth destroying your future." He also presented his manifesto to stakeholders and residents of Bende Federal Constituency.

The pact signed contained the candidate's blueprint for the people if elected, focusing on quality roads, hospitals, schools, and adequate funding for skills acquisition and opportunities for youths and women. Anyaso vowed to serve only two terms if elected, respecting the political understanding between the Umunna and Ikwuisii blocs in the constituency. He stressed the importance of demanding transparency, accountability, and measurable results from elected leaders.

Anyaso also encouraged the people not to be intimidated or discouraged ahead of the 2027 election, assuring them that the power to decide the outcome lies with them. He praised the state governor, Alex Otti, and other party leaders for their support and encouraged young people not to allow themselves to be recruited as destructive elements during the election.
