Everything you need to know about Cougars-Cyclones Big 12 showdown.
No. 8 BYU will take on Iowa State in a crucial football game on Friday at 8:15 p.m. MDT at LaVell Edwards Stadium. The Cougars are currently ranked No. 8 with a perfect record of 4-0, while Iowa State, the No. 3 team, has a 3-2 record this season. The Cougars have dominated night games in recent years, with a 35-4 mark since 2019, including a 20-3 record in late kickoffs at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
For Iowa State, the undefeated team has struggled to find consistency in their passing game, facing pressure on their run offense without star running back LJ Martin. BYU's pass rush has also been strong against Big 12 opponents. Key players to watch include BYU's running backs Preston Rex and Journee Tonga, who will step up to replace Martin, and Iowa State's defensive front seven, which has only allowed three sacks against conference opponents.
