Netflix Brings Monster Hunter Rise To Mobile, Malaysia Included In Soft Launch

Netflix has introduced Monster Hunter Rise to its mobile gaming platform, with Malaysia included in the soft launch. The game is now available on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, according to reports from RPGSite. Although Netflix has not formally announced the release, evidence suggests that it has already been made accessible to users in select regions.

The game was initially spotted on the platforms by RPGSite, and after checking the listings ourselves, we confirmed its availability in Malaysia. As with other games on the service, a Netflix subscription is required to play this title.

Our testing, in line with GamerBraves' report, indicates that Monster Hunter Rise runs natively on the device rather than being streamed from the cloud. The game managed an average frame rate of 30fps during our testing, though occasional drops between 19 to 25fps were observed depending on on-screen activities. The initial app download size is approximately 797MB, with an additional 8.3GB of data needed for the game to function properly.

It is important to note that the mobile version of Monster Hunter Rise includes only the base game and does not feature the Sunbreak expansion. It remains to be seen if Netflix plans to extend the DLC to the mobile version of the game.
