Miracle Garden reopens and Adventure Time lands in Dubai: Things to do this weekend

Dubai, as the climate cools, marks the start of the October school holiday break for many families on Saturday, October 10. Recently, two major attractions in the city have reopened. The Dubai Miracle Garden, a 72,000 square meter spectacle featuring over 150 million flowers, has resumed operations after its 15th season. The garden is open daily from 9am to 9pm, with residents paying Dh70 for adults and Dh50 for children.

Dubai Parks and Resorts, home to MOTIONGATE Dubai, Real Madrid World, LEGOLAND Dubai and LEGOLAND Water Park, also reopened on October 7. Tickets start at Dh295 for theme parks and Dh25 for Riverland entry. New this weekend is Adventure Time: Side Quests at Museum of Candy, where Cartoon Network MENA is taking over the establishment to celebrate the launch of the Adventure Time: Side Quests cartoon series.

Visitors can expect character installations, photo spots and exclusive giveaways. Meanwhile, Xi'an Food Festival at Shang Palace offers a taste of authentic Shaanxi cuisine, including crispy gourd-shaped chicken and 25-year-old chef Zhang Zhi Guo's own creations. Jun's Downtown Dubai has launched a 10-course tasting menu, each dish representing a memorable meal from the chef's life.

Chef's Journey at AMARU in Souk Madinat Jumeirah brings Latin American flavors to life with projection mapping and live DJs. Ewaan at Palace Downtown offers a seafood buffet every Saturday night, overlooking the Dubai Fountain. Fwala at Gerbou Gerbou serves an Emirati afternoon spread every afternoon, while Sip & Paint at Boardwalk offers a painting session every Sunday evening.
