Mariska Hargitay Praises Taylor Swift’s Acting — and ‘Best Cookies’ — on Emmys ‘SVU’ Set

Mariska Hargitay spoke highly of Taylor Swift's acting abilities and the delicious cookies the pop star brought to the set of the Law & Order: SVU sketch for the 2026 Emmys. Hargitay, who has played Detective Olivia Benson for 28 seasons, described the sourdough chocolate chip cookies Swift made as "the best I’ve ever had." Beyond the treats, Hargitay praised Swift's professionalism and charisma, noting that the entire cast and crew found the experience delightful.

During a spoof of a segment, Benson and her team used Swiftie logic to determine that Swift would be busy supporting Travis Kelce at a Kansas City Chiefs game the night of the ceremony, ultimately concluding she would not attend the Emmys. Swift included Easter eggs in the skit, teasing her upcoming deluxe edition of the 2025 album, The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.
