Marc Marquez vows to 'attack' Martin's lead at Indonesian MotoGP
Marquez won in Japan last week to trim fellow Spaniard Martin's overall championship lead to two points with six events of the season remaining.
Jakarta - Defending MotoGP champion Marc Marquez declared his intention to launch an attack on compatriot Jorge Martin ahead of this weekend's Indonesian MotoGP in Lombok. The Ducati rider's win in Japan last week narrowed the overall championship gap between the two Spaniards to just two points, with six races still to be contested.
Marquez vowed to challenge Martin at every circuit on the calendar, stating that this was his primary goal for the season. The seven-time world champion also expressed satisfaction with the bike's performance, attributing his improved position to the enhanced setup. Current MotoGP leader Jorge Martin, riding for Aprilia, leads the championship with 333 points, followed by Marquez in second place with 331 points, and Italian Marco Bezzecchi in third with 284 points.
