For over a decade, the ADAPT Theatre Group has maintained a close relationship with Las Esperanzas primary school in San Pedro del Pinatar. A portion of their funds consistently supports essential materials for needy pupils, with this year's contribution earmarked for reading material for the school library. The school has long provided a lively audience for the group's final dress rehearsal, which greatly benefits both the company and the students, offering a day out and a special treat for the school.

However, the most significant collaboration between ADAPT and the school occurs through the children's dance group performing in the pantomime productions. The pupils are selected by their teachers and coached in their dance numbers. Comprising eight to twelve children aged ten and eleven, the group also participates in some of the stage action, delivering lines in English. This requires the director and producer to make multiple visits to the school during its morning break to rehearse all details.

This arrangement proves to be an enriching experience for everyone involved, fostering stronger ties between ADAPT and the town of San Pedro del Pinatar. The upcoming production, Aladdin, will be performed at the Geli Albaladejo Theatre on November 27th at 7 p.m. and November 28th at 12 noon and 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at bit.ly/Aladdin2026 and at various local outlets, including Papelería Librería ARCO, Annie's Bar, and Spanish Home Finders. Interested parties can contact the group via WhatsApp at 656 36 1098 or Yolanda on 606 14 10 34.
