Jay and Silent Bob’s Joint Venture Trailer and Game Details Revealed for Weed Farming Sim | NYCC 2026

Nitrate Games unveiled the first trailer and fresh updates about Jay and Silent Bob's Joint Venture, a farming simulation video game, at New York Comic Con on Thursday. IGN obtained an exclusive first look at the game's trailer, which can be watched via the embedded player below. The game aims to provide a humorous and risqué take on the traditionally serene farming genre, with the stars of Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse leading the way as they strive to "construct the finest weed farm in town."

Players can expect to design, nurture, and enlarge their farming business, engage with beloved characters from Smith's movies, and immerse themselves in an original storyline penned by Ernie Altbacker. Altbacker is known for his work on animated films Batman: Hush and Justice League Dark. Smith and Jason Mewes, who are creative collaborators on the project, expressed their enthusiasm for the game during an IGN interview.

According to Nitrate Games co-founder Montana Sommese, Jay and Silent Bob's Joint Venture is not only a continuation of Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse but also a sequel to his films. As the game evolves, Nitrate Games plans to expand the story universe by adding narrative updates inspired by the cinematic universe.

The NYCC panel announced that additional characters from the View Askewniverse, including Dante, Randal, Veronica from Clerks; Brodie and T.S. Quint from Mallrats; Holden, Banky, Hooper and Alyssa from Chasing Amy; Azrael and Serendipity from Dogma; Becky & Elias from Clerks II; and Mooby from Jersey Girl, will be featured in the game.

Jay and Silent Bob's Joint Venture is currently in the play-testing phase of development, with a projected release in late Spring 2027 on Steam/PC, and a console release also planned for 2027. Fans can discover more about the game and sign up for playtesting and wishlist opportunities.
