Sioux Falls, S.D. (KELO) – The KELOLAND Sports Game of the Week features a ranked matchup between #3 Hamlin and #5 Garretson on Friday. The game will be broadcast live on KELOXTRA, KELOLAND+, and KELOLAND.com starting at 7 p.m.
Hamlin is currently 5-1 and has won their last five games. The team's success has been attributed to their focus on fundamentals, particularly tackling and blocking. Quarterback Boden Stevenson, a dual-threat who has thrown for 845 yards and 11 touchdowns, and rushed for 782 yards and 13 touchdowns, has been instrumental in Hamlin's performance.
Garretson, also 5-1, suffered a loss to #2 Bon Homme on September 11 but has since rallied with two consecutive wins. The Blue Dragons are led by a talented senior class, with 11 seniors on the roster. Coach Tim Hughes emphasizes the importance of preparation, particularly targeting Hamlin's quarterback, Boden Stevenson.
Both teams are preparing for a crucial game that could impact the playoff standings in the 9AA conference. The Game of the Week coverage begins at 7 p.m. with kick-off at 7:05 p.m. on KELOXTRA, KELOLAND+, and KELOLAND.com.
