Census 2027: Four-Day Master Trainers’ Training For Population Enumeration Concludes In Dehradun

Dehradun, October 8, 2026: The Department of Census Operations in Uttarakhand, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, concluded a four-day Master Trainers’ Training programme on October 8, 2026, at Scientists’ Hostel, Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun. The training aimed to equip Master Trainers for the successful execution of the second phase of Census-2027, focusing on Population Enumeration.

On the final day, participants undertook a field visit to gain practical exposure to census operations, including understanding methodology and potential challenges.

Following the field visit, the Master Trainers engaged in detailed discussions about the training sessions, sharing feedback, suggestions, and queries with the trainers. The Director, Smt. Eva Ashish Srivastava, emphasized the critical role of Master Trainers in the Census-2027, urging them to utilize their acquired knowledge and skills to provide quality training to officials and census personnel. She wished them dedication, responsibility, and coordination for the Census-2027 exercise.

Director Smt. Eva Ashish Srivastava and Joint Director & National Trainer Shri Shailendra Singh Negi presented mementoes to the Master Trainers, who expressed their commitment to effectively applying the knowledge gained in upcoming assignments. The training was a crucial step to ensure a well-prepared team of Master Trainers for the upcoming census operations.
