About 830 aspirants pick forms to contest NDC Greater Accra regional elections

About eight hundred and thirty aspiring candidates have registered to contest in the forthcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) Greater Accra Regional elections, according to the party. The party has announced this after concluding the period for picking nomination forms. Once the aspirants have chosen their forms, they are required to complete the filing process.

Mahdi Gibril, the Deputy Director of Elections for the NDC, speaking to Accra-based Channel One News, revealed that a significant number of the party's existing regional leaders have also chosen to contest for their positions. Gibril stated, "Around eight hundred and thirty aspirants have picked nomination forms to contest for various positions. The majority of the incumbent executives have picked nomination."

Subsequently, those who have chosen nomination forms are now obligated to settle their filing fees and finalize their submission of personal details via the party's online platform. Gibril elaborated that after the online process is completed, candidates will have to physically submit their complete nomination documents to the Election Committee.

The scheduled physical submission dates are October 14 and 15. However, the online submission portal will remain accessible for those aspirants who have chosen forms but have yet to pay their filing fees or complete the online submission.
