‘They ask me over and over’: Bengal BLOs fear tribunal questions in special drive
Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in West Bengal are grappling with concerns over questions they may face during a special re-vote process. As a result of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, nearly 1.9 lakh voters were added to the rolls, while 63.66 lakh were deleted. Of these, 60.06 lakh cases are under adjudication, with 27 lakh cases referred to tribunals.
BLOs fear that they may be asked about the cases still pending in tribunals, as clarifications are awaited from a training session after the Durga Puja holidays.
