Stanbic Bank launches campaign to drive Ghana’s green future

Stanbic Bank Ghana Ltd has introduced a sustainability-focused campaign called "Be Powered" to promote the use of renewable energy and sustainable mobility solutions throughout the country. The campaign is driven by the Bank's new Solar and Electric Vehicle (EV) Finance Solution, which offers customized financing to individuals, businesses, and institutions looking to invest in clean energy and green transport technologies.

This initiative reflects Stanbic Bank's dedication to sustainability and reflects the Standard Bank Group's 'Think Green. Go Blue.' agenda, which supports Africa's transition to a more resilient and sustainable future. Dinah Kaleo-Bioh, the Head of Business & Commercial Banking, emphasized the significance of sustainable growth, stating that Africa's development should be based on solutions that are both sustainable and inclusive.

Chidinma Braye-Yankee, the Head of Brand & Marketing, described "Be Powered" as a movement to inspire awareness, adoption, and action, noting that while interest in sustainability is rising, many people still view renewable energy as complex or unattainable. The campaign aims to educate, empower, and demonstrate that sustainable solutions are achievable today.

The Bank acknowledges that access to financing remains a hurdle for many houses and businesses when it comes to adopting renewable energy and sustainable transport solutions. The Solar and EV Finance Solution was designed to address this issue, making such investments more accessible. By fostering the widespread adoption of renewable energy and sustainable mobility, Stanbic Bank hopes to enhance energy security, business resilience, and overall economic growth.
