Scream’s 30th Anniversary Collector’s Set Includes a Bloody Cordless Phone
The '90s horror classic Scream is getting a 30th anniversary collector's set that includes the movie in 4K along with detective case files and a bloody cordless phone.
To mark the 30th anniversary of the horror classic Scream, Paramount is releasing the Scream 30th Anniversary Collector's Set, an exclusive Amazon bundle that includes the film along with several physical items. The bundle will be available for pre-order on December 15 and will cost $119.99. Physical components of the set include a replica cordless phone, a case file folder, suspect list file card, Polariod suspect photos, and a newspaper clipping.
The replica phone, bearing blood stains and playing iconic quotes, is the highlight of the set. The bundle offers the movie in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and digital formats. Despite the genre having become somewhat predictable by 1996, Scream revitalized the slasher film with its meta approach, cleverly incorporating horror movie tropes known to the characters.
Stars Neve Campbell, David Arquette, Courteney Cox, Matthew Lillard, Rose McGowan, Skeet Ulrich, and Drew Barrymore delivered memorable performances. The film's mystery surrounding Ghostface and its suspenseful narrative have earned it a prominent place in horror history, spawning several sequels with mixed success.
