Red Wings Fans Send Dylan Larkin Message During First Shift
Red Wings fans booed Dylan Larkin every time he touched the puck during his first shift of the 2026-27 season at Little Caesars Arena.
On Dylan Larkin's first shift of the 2026-27 season with the Detroit Red Wings, he faced an unusual welcome from the crowd at Little Caesars Arena. The arena was notably empty, yet fans in attendance booed Larkin each time he touched the puck, creating an awkward and uncomfortable start to his season. This reaction wasn't a one-time occurrence; it persisted throughout his opening shift as fans expressed their displeasure with the star player.
Despite Larkin's return to the lineup following some time out, the sparse crowd made the boos particularly noticeable. The experience was far from welcoming for the Detroit Red Wings' most recognizable player, setting an uncomfortable tone for his 2026-27 campaign.
