Pixel 11’s Screen Saver options are quietly making their way to older Pixels
Pixel 9 is getting all the new options, while Pixel 10 is getting the new Charge style.
Google is beginning to roll out screensavers from newer Pixel models to older Pixels, specifically the Pixel 9. The feature was initially introduced with the Pixel 10, and the Pixel 11 brought a new "Charge" style screensaver. These updates have now started to appear for Pixel 9 users, though the rollout remains limited. In 2023, Pixel 10 brought a range of new screensavers, marking the most significant update to this feature in over a decade.
However, this expansion was exclusive to Pixel 10 at launch. This year, the screensaver feature expanded to include Pixel 11, which added another new style. Reports now suggest that these screen saver options are starting to make their way to the older Pixel 9 series. A tip from Telegram user Sameerasw revealed that their Pixel 9 Pro is now displaying screen saver options similar to those in the Pixel 10 and newer Pixel 11 series.
Pixel 9 Pro users can now choose from a variety of new styles, including the Pixel 11's "Charge" screensaver, along with Clock and Weather options that were first introduced with the Pixel 10 series.
