PAS digesa bentang pelan ekonomi negara menjelang Belanjawan 2027

Approaching the 2027 budget, PAS under Hadi Awang is urged to present its own economic plan for the country so voters can evaluate it based on the party's record while governing Kelantan, Terengganu, Perlis, and Kedah. According to Mazlan Ali from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, PAS must play a stronger role by investigating the budget and presenting factual arguments, research, and alternative proposals.

He believes the party should showcase its ability to offer a better foundation and approach than the federal government. The party can strengthen its arguments by highlighting achievements in the four SG4 states: Kedah, Kelantan, Perlis, and Terengganu. Mazlan suggests using this opportunity to explain the constraints faced by the four state governments in areas such as land allocation, education allocation, and the funding of central government ventures.

PAS member Syahir Sulaiman encourages the federal government to address seven economic realities in the 2027 budget, including fiscal space constraints, pressure on living costs, job losses, low wages, challenges for small businesses, and reliance on youth employment. However, Syahir notes that while economic growth targets have been set (6% growth in the second quarter and fixed exchange rate), achieving a better standard of living for the general public remains a challenge.

Mazlan argues that PAS's credibility depends on its ability to transition from mere criticism to proposing an economically viable state plan.
